taking off in the dawn, I'll never die young, and I can live to regret this.

Just procured an old bottle of scotch from my brother's liquor cabinet. Life is so much better now than it was two hours ago.

Life is so absurd. I've been reminded of this over and over again this week. The breadth and intensity of human emotion juxtaposed with the insignificance of individual existence. Nothing really matters. I find this terribly liberating. So I've been living it up lately, making bad decisions and what not.

I've got a date for an adventure with G tomorrow afternoon. He's great; it should be lovely. And the town-wide yard sale is tomorrow, and I'm on the hunt for an old beach cruiser. Cross your fingers.

The Anniversary came on itunes earlier, and I forgot how much I loved them.

Found ^this^ on We Find Wildness. By Kendra Grant Malone who recently wrote a piece called Conor Oberst Sex, Rape Children, and All The Ways I Have Failed You. I love it. I feel like I'm not supposed to, but I do.

in culo alla balena.

I am sick and exhausted and my spirit is weary. I am glad I am home tonight. I'm going to sleep in tomorrow and wake up feeling awesome. Maybe even dust off my running shoes, pull on a hoodie, and venture out into this beautiful, grey autumn world. And then Balkan dance party tomorrow night in Philly which I couldn't be more excited for. I think the occasion calls for a velvet skirt. Really, I've just been waiting for an excuse to buy this skirt:

winter shopping list.

I've been feeling really homesick these past few days. As awesome as Philly is, there will always be somethings that Florida just does better. Lately, I've been really missing Cuban food and fried catfish and beach days and roller coasters and lightning storms and late night swims. So I am really looking forward to winter, the one thing that Florida just can't do.
