life could be a dream.

Sitting in the backyard in my undies, drinking coffee, watching the dogs chase the chipmunks. Life is good. Ignoring the fact I have to be at work in just a bit which is not so good.

A girl came into my store the other day with a really good knockoff of this Alexander Wang Rocco tote, and I wanted so badly to ask her where she got it, how much she spent, etc, etc, but I didn't because I'm not sure what the etiquette is when it comes to asking people about their fake bags. But I wish I had because I love this bag.

bonkers.

My body runs with clockwork-like predictability. I could mark my crazy days and my bummer days on the calendar six months ahead of time. I am a rational, logical, level-headed woman; I know that my bouts of emotionality are purely chemical. But even having said that, it doesn't make me any less crazy or sad. I feel like there needs to be a disclaimer before everything I say. "I am especially emotional today; everything that comes out of my mouth is nonsense." Oh, to be a man for a day.

nasty.

This came on the radio during my ride home yesterday, and it made me squeal like a teenage girl.

This song makes me feel the same way.

wise words.

So last night, we were watching Parenthood, and Lauren Graham said something like "Boys are like buses. If one passes you by, another one'll be coming around in just a few minutes." Brilliant.

ferocious.

My favorite little lady is driving across the country today. Safe travels, my dear Meekee. I see a long, lazy weekend in Ohio in my future. Like, soon. My time in CT has been lovely. My sister-in-law is great. She makes me wish I'd had her to grow up with instead of all my stinky brothers. She doesn't always get it-- we are very different-- but she always tries. And I always feel like I have so much to learn from her.

Trying to make it back in town tonight in time to go to some show at Johnny Brenda's. It's more about the company than the music. I bought a foxy little sweater dress and tights yesterday. The show tonight would be a good excuse to wear them. So here's to hoping traffic cooperates.
