parting ways.

Sometimes people have to come back into our lives for us to realize that it wasn't such a bad thing for them to leave in the first place, right?
(As I type this, Lauryn Hill sings on my Pandora, "I used to love him; now, I don't." Funny.)

This week was a really good week for me in the sense that it was so bad that I feel like a better person for having had to deal with it all. I am a work in progress. Maybe closer to the start than the finish. Maybe even a little behind the rest. But I think that's okay. My only recourse is to keep trudging forward.

I spent my day yesterday at farmers' markets and antique malls and a little brewery out in Amish country. It was great. I'm just so glad it's getting warmer.

I am so in love with this lampshade. I'm thinking about buying a little upholstered chair to put in the nook in my bedroom, and this would be so pretty on one of my vintage lamps with my new chair. BUT this lampshade costs more than the chair, so I don't think there's a future for us. I've got some serious needlework skills. Maybe I could make this?
